CARMEL, IN, September 2, 2022 – The Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame (INAHOF) is pleased to announce that Bryan K. Bedford, President and CEO of Republic Airways, will be the featured speaker at the Hall of Fame’s 2022 Honors Banquet to be held October 8th, 2022, in Carmel, Indiana.
Since Mr. Bedford joined the company in 1999, Carmel-based Republic Airways has grown from $85 million in revenues and thirty-six turboprop aircraft to more than $1.3 billion in revenues and a fleet of nearly 200 jet airliners. The company is a major central Indiana employer which also operates LIFT Academy, a professional pilot training school, and recently announced the building of a new corporate headquarters and state-of-the-art training facility in Carmel.
In 1997 and 2004, Regional Airline World named Bryan Airline Executive of the Year. In 2009, he received the same honor from Airline Business. In 1998, the Minneapolis Business Journal named him to its 40 under 40 list, and in 2000 the Indianapolis Business Journal named him to their 40 under 40 list. Bryan earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Florida State University and is a certified public accountant. He holds commercial, multi-engine and instrument pilot ratings.
