Zachary J. Grant

Zachary Grant is an airline captain and the son of the late FAA Master Pilot recipient, Berl Grant. Zach holds a B.S. in Aviation Management and Flight Technology from Florida Institute of Technology where he served on the alumni advisory board. He also holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and is type ratings in A320, B737, B757/767, BA3100, BE300, CE500, DC-8, DC-10, and SF-340, with single engine Land and Sea ratings.

He is a Certified Flight Instructor-Airplanes/Instrument/Multi-engine, A&P and Check Airman. His aviation career spans 35 years and 24,000 hours in 300 plus types in flight instruction, corporate, Part 121 and 135 flying, plus extensive domestic and international flight operations, management, Instructor, Chief Pilot and Check Airman experience. He has flown with Chautauqua Airlines, American Trans Air (ATA), Air Transport International (ATI), North American Airlines, and United Airlines. Zach was responsible for advancing Solutions Air Charter to a full authority Part 135 certificate, and for the carrier’s initial proving runs.

He is an avid aircraft owner, an EAA Flight Advisor, past President of the International Comanche Society, and an instructor pilot and check airman for training and certification in multiple corporate aircraft types.
